Young leaders from Burundi and Colombia addressed Sexual and Reproductive Rights at the local level in two focused projects. Both NGOs, including Barranquilla+20, found poor implementation of the laws due to ineffective government coordination, lack of cultural understanding, taboos, and limited institutional support. The study sought to identify local challenges and needs in the implementation of Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) and propose actions to close the gaps found.

Women for Climate Justice for Peace and Security is a Barranquilla+20 research project in Huila and Norte de Santander, conducted with IREX and USAID. Part of Youth Excel, a five-year USAID program, it seeks to empower young people and youth-led NGOs to strengthen development solutions.
